Film Premiere & Toast with Pelican Brewing’s Biosphere Brew

Thursday, November 5th, 2026 | Pelican Brewing — Pacific City

Join us in Pacific City for an evening celebrating 50 years of the Cascade Head Biosphere Region and the remarkable coastal landscape we share. To people in Neskowin and Pacific City, Cascade Head is the quiet giant to the south; to the Hebo community and those who have worked in and cared for the surrounding national forest for generations, it is part of a much longer story of stewardship, research, and connection to the land. From coastal prairies and old-growth forests to rivers and marine waters, this extraordinary place brings nature, science, and community together.

Film Premiere: A Deeper Relationship with the Living Planet

Celebrate this milestone with A Deeper Relationship with the Living Planet, a film honoring our connections to the natural world and the significance of the UNESCO Biosphere Region.

Part of Siuslaw National Forest and home to the Neskowin Crest Natural Research Area, Cascade Head represents a remarkable legacy of conservation, scientific research, and community stewardship. For 50 years, its UNESCO designation has helped bring these efforts together, creating opportunities to learn from nature and one another. This film invites us to reflect on that legacy and consider what the next 50 years might hold.

Toast the golden anniversary with a glass of Biosphere Brew

Fifty years of UNESCO recognition deserves a proper coastal toast!

Biosphere Brew is a special release from Pelican Brewing’s Giveback Brew program, created in partnership with and benefiting the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative. Brewed exclusively with Cascade hops, this special pale ale brings a bright, distinctive flavor to a celebration of Oregon’s extraordinary coastal landscape. It’s a fitting match for Cascade Head itself: a little wild, full of character, and worth celebrating.

We’ll raise our glasses at Pelican Brewing’s original Pacific City location, where the brewery was born in 1996. The setting makes this more than a toast to a milestone. It celebrates the connections between local businesses, community, and the natural environment that makes the Oregon Coast so special.

Biosphere Beer Begins - brew day at Pelican Brewing

Pelican’s commitment to sustainability and community giving reflects that same coastal spirit—showing how a locally rooted business can help care for the place it calls home. From conserving water and energy to supporting coastal cleanups, local food banks, and sustainable tourism, Pelican works to care for the communities and environment that make the Oregon coast special.
