Kayaking in the Daylight 2025

Join the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative for a daytime paddle on the Salmon River, setting off from Knight Park.

TWO OPTIONS

  • Bring your own kayak or canoe, Paddle, PFD, and your whistle. $25 per person.

  • Don't have a boat, get a rental from Safari Town Surf Shop and get free delivery to this one of a kind event.  $25 per person still applies, plus rental cost of $60 single kayak or $70 tandem reserved and paid separately to Safari Town.

All participants must register individually to sign waiver.  Parents/Guardians can register for a child under 18 years of age, but also must attend.

Basic requirements include:

  • Kayak/Canoe

  • Paddle

  • PFD (Personal Floatation Device)

  • Whistle (signaling device)

  • Non-cotton, Appropriate Apparel (Always dress for the water temperature which is cold.

  • Other Safety Equipment: Bilge Pump or Bailer, throw rope, float bags.

  • Waterway Access and Aquatic Invasive Species Permit (10' or longer boats)
